Brooke Surgeon named Senior Women’s Coach

The Keilor Football Club is delighted to announce, Brooke Surgeon has been appointed the Senior Women’s Coach for the 2022 EDFL Season.

Brooke finds her way back to Keilor after a decorated playing career which included VFLW, VIC Metro and 3 x Premiership Captain, 3 x Club Best & Fairest & 2 x League Best & Fairest, with the Sunbury Football Club.

Recently and since transitioning into coaching from 2019, Brooke has been assistant coach with the Western Jets Girls, Northern Knights Boys & Girls, and was appointed the U18 Girls Coach with us for the 2020 season, however, the season was of course unfortunately not played due to the COVID19 Pandemic.

“I’m excited about passing on my knowledge to develop our young players and continuing to build on an already strong foundation, that’s been built by the previous coaches and the playing group’ responded Brooke after being confirmed as the Women’s Coach at Keilor.
‘ I played a few games for Keilor a few years back and we had a great supportive culture, a club that valued their people so it was a club that I was always interested in being a part of again.
‘I really want to play a tough attacking style of footy, first to the ball & no excuses.’

The Senior Women’s & U18 Girls 2022 Pre-Season training will begin within the next two weeks, with an exact date and location provided in time, so please ensure you stay tuned for announcements via teamapp and our social channels.
