The Keilor Football Club is delighted to announce that Mick McGuane has extended his coaching contract at the club, and will continue to coach the Senior Men in 2026 & 2027.
This will extend his time at the club to an unprecedented, 20th season.
Mick was appointed Keilor Senior Men’s coach for the 2008 season, and has taken the club to a whole new level of structure and professionalism.
Although the multiple Premierships are often spoken about, it must also be mentioned that he has overseen a major re-build in the club, particularly from 2011 – 2016 and also volunteered his time coaching junior football from U8s to U16s along the way as well.
‘It was a no brainer for me, if the club was happy to have me, I don’t want to be going anywhere else’ – Mick said upon his announcement to the club last Thursday Night at selection.
In 2024, Mick coached his 300th Senior Men’s Premier Division game, a record breaking milestone in EDFL & Local Football across the state & country.
