Sports Trainers Required

The Keilor Football Club (AFL) are currently seeking new trainers for our Senior teams in the Essendon District Football League (EDFL) competition, to assist our senior trainers every Saturday for the following teams for the 2021 season.

As a trainer you will be responsible for strapping and massage as well as working with the club physio and fitness team on injury prevention and rehab. These positions are ideal for students studying Physiotherapy, Osteopathy and people with an interest in sports massage or sports medicine (hours can count towards practical hours as part of study). The rosters are flexible and the clubs senior trainers will train you in strapping and massage if required.

There will be some pre-season training that applicants will need to attend, these nights are currently Monday and Wednesday.

Teams where trainers are required;

  • Senior Womens 11am to 1:30pm Saturday
  • Thirds Senior Mens 11am to 1:30pm  Saturday
  • U-18/1 and U18/2 Mens 9:00am to 11:30pm Saturday

This would be a great opportunity for any young person who is thinking pursuing a career in this field or anyone who is older and wants to work with our senior group.

Applicants need have at least Level 1 Sports Trainer qualification, be willing to obtain before 1 April or a qualified practitioner, applicants will also need to have current CPR and Sports first Aid certificates.

These position are a paid positions, remuneration will be between $20 & $25/hr dependent upon experience.
