To All Players, Members, Supporters and Sponsors,
After a 2 week hiatus due to recent lock-down, we are excited to welcome back Community Football this weekend for Metropolitan Melbourne.
Whilst we were thrilled to receive approval to return to competition, for this weekend it comes at a cost.
The Victorian Government has issued strict guidelines for this week’s competition and one of the directives is games can only be attended by;
– Players
– Coaches
– Officials (Umpires)
– Support Staff (Trainers, Time Keepers, Water Carriers)
– Parents or Guardians for dependent children. (i.e. Only 1 parent/guardian per child)
NO other spectators are permitted to attend matches.
Whilst these conditions are being communicated by AFL Vic, it should be noted that they are simply following the orders of the Victorian Government.
We understand and share your disappointment, but it imperative that we follow the guidelines that have been set for this weekend as the only alternative was that NO sport be conducted.
We love your support, but for this weekend we are asking that you support us remotely.
Hopefully our compliance will see these conditions relaxed at the earliest opportunity so that we can all return to support the players in person.
