VALE – John ‘Ricketts’ Falcke

It is with a very heavy heart, the Keilor Football Club would like to acknowledge the passing of John ‘Ricketts’ Falcke last night.

Ricketts, as he was affectionately known, was someone who played a significant role in the club behind the scenes over many decades.

He made the role of Property Steward his own, ensuring that every Keilor side was ready and able to perform at the best possible requirements. No task was ever too big or too small for him to undertake, particularly on match-day for our Senior teams.

Over his time, Ricketts was recognized with some fantastic accolades for his efforts, including;
– Keilor FC life member
– EDFL life member
– Keilor FC life members volunteer award; named in his honour

It was as though he had every key that opened, what seemed, every single door in Keilor – hence how the nickname Ricketts came about. A gentle man who was fiercely loyal to everything Keilor and his family.

Funeral details may be made available if possible, however please understand the family is in a difficult situation in the current circumstances. A memorial will be held as soon as the occasion is permitted.

Please keep his family and friends in your thoughts today.

Rest In Peace, Ricketts ❤️
